It was a government venture and is situated at the heart of the city of Vadodara. It was proposed on the site of existing old T.B. sanatorium. The phase I of the hospital and medical college was conceived as 750 bedded hospital for 150 admissions of medical students annually started in feb 2011 considering all the requirements of MCI norms for a teaching hospital. Hospital, hostel, staff quarters, nursing hostel, nursing staff quarters, assistant and associate professor, M.B.B.S. hostel, animal house, mortuary, incinerator, blood bank, liberary and other building in campus were also conceived in designing master plan of the proposed project.
